The recruiter was responsive, friendly, and helpful.
I had applied online. Here's the process:
- 30-minute call with the recruiter
- 1-hour technical phone call with an engineer
- 45-minute technical virtual interview with an engineer on the team
- 1 hour 30 minute coding interview video call
- 45-minute virtual interview for a mix of technical and behavioral with an engineer on the team
- 30-minute behavioral interview with the hiring manager
That's 5 hours' worth of interviews. Interviewers sometimes ran late and weren’t always mindful of the time. The coding challenges were enjoyable.
It would be nice if the process could be consolidated a bit more. Two out of five interviewers were pleasant. The process was far longer than most I’ve experienced.

Java fundamental principles, such as when to use static or what inheritance is.
Asked about software architecture design principles.
Lots of "tell me about yourself" questions.
Asked about general optimizations for different areas in the stack.
