It's typical retail. But it could be worse

Pros

Each store is different, so if your store, district, and group leaders are good at their job, it can be a fairly easy job.

Decent benefits relative to what's typical in the US.

You can find coworkers you really connect with who understand that you do better by supporting and lifting each other up.

Cons
  • Being in a red store is a huge drain. It took years off my life. Everyone has to pull together to fix things. And it's hard to get everyone to pull together.
  • Watch out for ladder-climbers who will backstab and look out for themselves. All too common.
Advice to Management

Give your stores more payroll. Great service does not come from employees who are run into the ground and stressed. Sacrifice the efficiency worship and invest in your team.
