Pros

Great benefits, fast-paced, and the opportunity to gain experience in many foundational skills.

Cons

Very poor work-life balance, unrealistic workload, high turnover, micromanagement on every level.

Advice to Management

Be ethical and consistent in your coaching and documentation. I've seen SD, ETL, and TL use coaching and documentation to eliminate TMs they don't like, while their preferred TMs engage in the same behaviors consequence-free. SDs, ETLs, and TLs need to take responsibility for the culture in their stores. A happy TM is a loyal TM, and a big part of job satisfaction is knowing your leadership is genuine and interested, right down to the housekeeping staff or day porters. Know your staff.
