I applied to a special Musk company through a job fair and online. I was then contacted online and tried to reply as soon as possible.
I delayed the initial phone conversation by a day after the initial suggestion. Subsequently, the recruiter delayed the conversation by a week, one day at a time. Each day, she informed me that a meeting prevented her from speaking with me.
After we finally spoke, she told me she would send a take-home test that Friday. I never received the email. The following week, I sent another email inquiring about the status. After another day without a response, I sent a follow-up email referencing my first one.
She then responded, and I received the test on Friday. I completed and submitted the test the next day. It has now been two and a half weeks without any further communication. I did not even receive confirmation that my test was received.
I have sent two more emails requesting a status update and have received no response.
Perhaps the recruiter is new, but this treatment is ridiculous. It is completely unprofessional, and I feel as though the company does not value me at all, even as an individual. The process so far has been absolute garbage. I have never experienced anything like this from a company before.
