Good learning, horrible work culture
Decent pay for a mechanical engineer intern. Very good learning curve.
Horrible work culture. Some managers are tough to work with, and they expect you to work more than 10 hours a day, every day.
Be realistic with interns. My manager compared me with a senior mechanical engineer, saying, "Why did it take you to complete a particular project in X months when a senior mechanical engineer completed it in Y months?" Comparing an intern with someone who is a senior on the team is not fair.
