I have worked with world-class engineers throughout my career, moving between development teams and business units several times as opportunities occurred. Compensation has been reasonable, and long-term contributions are recognized and rewarded. Lots of good people with an environment to learn and grow. Overall, an excellent place to work.
Software development has never been highly regarded. It is more a means to an end to deliver hardware, instead of a value adder to product lines. Not much focus on how to make products easier to use and incorporate into customer designs.
There is a dire lack of system engineering within the company. Too much focus is placed on how to sell individual parts without a deep understanding of customer needs. With the right mix of HW, SW, Technical Documentation, Tools, and system experience, customers will roll in and revenue will increase.
It is basically a phone interview. Through email, they set up the interview date. Three people interviewed me.
2 rounds of interview. The first round is telephonic. The 2nd round is face to face, and then HR.
One tech, two managerial, and one HR. HRs are rude, which gives a glimpse of the culture inside the company. No work from home; you should be in the office all the time.
