SWE Intern Interview Experience - Taiwan

Process

The initial HR phone screen at The Trade Desk was quite structured yet conversational. The recruiter started with an introduction and briefly explained the overall interview process. Then, they moved on to some standard behavioral questions, such as "Why do you want to join The Trade Desk?" and "Can you describe a challenging project you’ve worked on?"

After the behavioral part, there were a few simple technical questions focusing on basic data structures — for example, the difference between an array and a linked list. Toward the end, there was a light object-oriented design (OOD) scenario question to assess problem-solving and design thinking.

The atmosphere was friendly, and the recruiter was supportive throughout the conversation.
