Process
I just had an interview on campus, and now they've asked me to Boston for another one.
Two people conducted the interview, and they were nice guys.
They asked me a question about binary search and to write the binary search program on a whiteboard. They also asked a question about a tree structure: finding the shallowest ancestor of two nodes in a tree.

Tripadvisor Work Experiences
- 4.0Great Culture and PeopleSoftware Engineer Intern • Former EmployeeJuly 29, 2020Pros: Extremely talented and passionate people, who you'll be working with at the company. Perks such as free lunch every day of the week and an office gym are fantastic too.Cons: In my opinion, there is a high degree of power distance at the company that management should address.
- 5.0High standards and great benefitsSoftware Engineer • Former EmployeeNewton, Massachusetts, United StatesApril 4, 2013Pros: As an engineer, I actually enjoyed the requirement for all code to be peer-reviewed. You can learn faster, and you know that everything going out the door is quality work. The benefits package is excellent. I loved the recreational travel reimbursement.Cons: The only con would be that there is no longer a dedicated UI team. Each engineer is responsible for their own UI, with varying results. My understanding is they broke up the UI team a few years ago in favor of the "speed wins" mantra.
- 3.0Good Wlb, Bad ManagementSoftware Engineer • Current EmployeeBoston, Massachusetts, United StatesJanuary 22, 2022Pros: - Good work-life balance. - Nice coworkers.Cons: - Bad management - No promising product - Compensation is not competitive
