Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

The hiring process was great. I met the team at the career fair. My initial interview was on campus, followed by another phone interview the next week. Both of these involved technical questions, such as data structures.

I then had a third interview, also by phone, which required me to write code using Google Docs. The experiences for the first two interviews were great, but the third one felt very serious and strict. I was asked to implement DFS using Java. It wasn't difficult, and I finished the code. Since people often get nervous while on the phone, I made a couple of mistakes. The last interview wasn't encouraging and didn't go well.

Overall, it was a great experience indeed, but I would prepare more for next time to avoid being nervous.
