Process
Two software engineers were interviewing me. They asked about basic CS questions, problem solving, and lastly, they gave me a link to code a problem while they watched how you code. They were kind and nice, although I didn't fit for the job. They gave me good feedback and encouragement.

Good first job, but don't stay too long
Software Engineer • Former Employee
Newton, Massachusetts, United States

Pros: Directly building something people use is great.
Cons: No career growth. I was in the same role 3 years after I was hired. "Speed wins" is used to justify sloppy work and never addressing the mountain of technical debt. New technologies, even those proven elsewhere in the industry, are resisted.
