The process involved an application, HR contact, HR call, tests, and several interviews.
Overall, I would say it was probably one of the best interview processes that I have ever been part of (and I have worked for many companies).
There was great and clear communication with HR and hiring team personnel. The candidate is put at ease in interviews, and it is not a classic formal style at all. You really get a feel for the company's vibe, which is always encouraging.
They really know their stuff and methods, and they will draw out what they need to know from you for evaluation. Follow-on communication and support were also great.
Honestly, the process makes everything else experienced before look antiquated, rigid, and too formal.
I rated this as difficult, driven mainly because it was all virtual due to COVID-19, and it is multi-stage. You have to pass through one stage to get to the next, naturally.
This adds some stress for the candidate. Of course, it is then harder for the employer to gauge character, personality traits, and team fit, so it takes longer and requires multiple questions to achieve a balanced view. This is fair enough given the circumstances.
If it were not for COVID-19 and virtual interviews, I would perhaps say it would normally sit between average and difficult. There isn't really a suitable category available on GD to select.
