Trivago has an online video interview system that is impersonal and unprofessional. While it is high-tech, you must record yourself talking for a limited time and then upload the video. There are several questions, and the upload process takes a long time, potentially consuming a whole day.
Trivago has also become a joke in the expat community; if you are over 30, they likely will not hire you. Thus, these videos are a waste of time and, again, so impersonal.
Consider this: HR departments want you to tailor your CV and resume for each job application, yet Trivago forces you through this impersonal video process. It is the worst system I have ever encountered.
Furthermore, consider that if you are not conventionally attractive, are overweight, or belong to a certain race, this system could lead to you not being hired. This is very discriminatory!
Video interview questions are so impersonal.
