Senior Frontend Software Engineer Interview Experience - Barcelona, Spain
Process
There were three stages: system design, pair coding, and behavioral.
I asked the recruiter if I could go through the process as quickly as possible, and she kindly scheduled the interviews on the following three consecutive days!
There was enough information provided to feel prepared, but not too much material to prepare before each round.
The interviews themselves were enjoyable, and there was plenty of time for me to ask questions and discuss the role further.

Typeform Work Experiences
- 4.0Very fun, but at times frustratingSoftware Engineer • Former EmployeeBarcelona, SpainJune 6, 2019Pros: The people: talented, humble, fun, and caring (for the most part). The environment: great city, culture, offices, and perks (coffee, lunch, beer, events, flexible hours, unlimited holidays <3). The product: loved by the customers, flexible enough to improve/extend, and still growing in usage and popularity.Cons: The management: Hard work goes unrecognized. Doing next to no work seems acceptable at times. There's a general lack of awareness from leadership and management. The opportunities: Decision-making is not really a team consensus. Constant hiring of seniors means it's hard to progress. Pushing through your own ideas is tough.
- 4.0Hello, company until 2021.Senior Backend Engineer • Former EmployeeBarcelona, Catalonia, SpainDecember 15, 2023Pros: Well-organized company. They treat workers very well and technically it's the best I've been at. The culture has changed quite a bit, so many people have left for different reasons.Cons: C Level has not managed to maintain the company culture.
- 2.0High Pay, Decaying ProductSoftware Engineer • Former EmployeeBarcelona, Catalonia, SpainDecember 11, 2020Pros: The salary is high. As they are scared of people leaving, you have a lot of negotiation power.Cons: The product stopped making sense a long time ago. The founders are out, and all the people who made the product great left. Only those who cannot find a better job stay.
