I walked out of this company's on-site interview. Never interview here. Everything they say about Uber's mistreatment of its own workers and candidates is true.
The on-site interview was the worst experience I have ever had with a company. They intentionally schedule you to show up 30 minutes before the actual interview, and they do not tell you this. Therefore, every single candidate they bring on-site wastes 30 minutes. I had to ask the front desk, and they said they do this to everyone.
Once the recruiting coordinator showed up, you are taken to a room where they explain the interview process. The first 2 hours of the interview, you are left by yourself in a room to code, which is half the interview. No one at that company thinks interviewing candidates is part of their job, and they will let you know that.
Uber goes out of their way to show you how little they care about you or your time.
