Applied through the Uber job site.
There was one phone screen, then I was invited for an onsite interview.
It was scheduled for 555 Market St. I went to their HQ by mistake.
It turned out all onsite interviewers were remote, except for one.
The in-person FrontEnd engineer seemed to dislike me somehow, but he was the person I had lunch with.
This was probably because he was the only in-person interviewer that day, so he had to conduct the lunch.
Lunch was 30 minutes. The interviewer didn't eat and watched me instead, which was very awkward.
Some interviewers were nice and engaged.
However, the last interviewer seemed busy with his project and didn't pay much attention to the interview. Also, because it was remote, it made it difficult to succeed.
I didn't expect the onsite interview to actually use video conferencing.
Their office at 555 Market St seemed a bit messy.
Maybe that's just Uber's style; you can't expect much.
