Software Engineer Interview Experience - Amsterdam, Netherlands

Process

The recruiter was very helpful, but the interviewer was totally arrogant. This was also confirmed by some current and ex-employees who feel that many people from Uber consider themselves the smartest individuals in the universe.

Although the interviewer spoke politely and friendly, the feedback provided was: "not sure about naming variables." This was the rejection reason, even though I solved the problem with optimal time and space complexity.

It was a whiteboard problem-solving test.
