Submitted my resume, and Uber contacted me pretty quickly. The process is just two phone screens with technical questions. After the first interview, HR immediately got back to me with another interview. After the second interview, it took them a while to get back to me. Overall, the process is pretty fast.

Pros: I have gotten the opportunity to make a real-world impact. I like that about Uber.
Most companies are worried about the next social opportunity, but here at Uber, we are helping shape the future.
Cons: In some parts of the company, people feel pressured to work extremely long hours, and I even feel that pressure sometimes. I think this happens because there is pressure put on by management or senior engineers to get things done, because everything is "critical". My team does a pretty good job of this, and I feel like I have a great work/life balance, though.

Pros: Excellent talent, great perks, and working on things at scale.
Cons: Under the new leadership, there was a lack of big bets. The team settled for running the business as usual and making small optimizations. It was hard to level up in the organization.
