Overall, the panel experience was fine, but the recruiter experience was really bad.
There were almost three to four different people who connected with me at different times. I had shared my available slots almost a week before, and still, no one confirmed the interviews until the last moment.
Even after going through four rounds, there was no communication from the recruiter until I followed up on the next steps.
I was not selected in the process, and the communication back to me was a one-liner saying, "Sorry to inform you that Uber is moving ahead with another candidature for the same role."
The screening was more about the role.
The System Design interview involved building a dashboard similar to Google Finance, featuring real-time stock price updates, historical charts, and the top/bottom 10 stocks of the day.
The team building discussion focused on the work and career I have led.
The delivery results discussion was a technical leadership evaluation.
Ultimately, I was not selected. The reason for this decision was not communicated to me. All these rounds were scheduled consecutively, so I assume each round was not an elimination round, meaning I will never know which one I could have performed better in.
