Lucked into an amazing job
I completely lucked into finding this job.
Was looking heavily at other opportunities in the NYC area when a recruiter pitched this job to me out of the blue.
Said, "What the heck?" Took the preliminary test (which I actually had a lot of fun with; all logic problems and a couple coding) and ended up really liking the people I interviewed with.
Everything just fell into place, and I couldn't be happier.
This place is filled with the most hard-working, dedicated, extremely clever people I have ever met. It is a pleasure to work with them every day.
Actual list of pros:
- Amazing and talented people
- Competitive pay and salary
- Opportunity to have a real impact on a young company
- Learn a really cool new technology
- Company-paid travel
- Very flexible working arrangements (WFH, actually unlimited days off, etc.)
- Occasionally a lot of travel.
- Very much a self-directed role, so if you need to be hand-held through work, you won't do well here.
Hire more so we don't have to travel quite so much!
