Pros

It's a start-up in the sense that everyone is very approachable, including the CEO. You will be involved in some decision-making, where you will feel like you don't just work for the company, but it is your own.

You have job stability like any big firm out there (in Engineering) and benefits better than most of the big/best firms out there.

  • Great engineering leadership team and other leaders I interact with.
  • Good work with as much exposure as you would want to get. So, you are the one limiting yourself here.
  • Most of the engineers are good and are motivated to build great products.
  • Compensation including stocks, bonuses, etc.
  • RPA has a great market opportunity, as we all know, and UiPath simply has the best platform.
Cons

If you are specifically focused on one part of software development, I.e., let's say back-end, then you can't just do back-end here. You have to be all full stack with more focus on your area of expertise. I am not sure if it's a con exactly.

Advice to Management

There is a certain gap of expertise/role between a senior engineer and a manager, i.e., an architect. We should try to fill it either by growing people internally or by hiring some good engineers from outside for this specific job.
