- Bad management (bad engineering managers and directors)
- Sinking stock because leadership does not have a clear direction around what to do
- Unmanageable workload (too much expectation because of pressure from higher management, and engineering managers cannot handle the same, which trickles down to ICs)
- Some engineering managers lack empathy (do not care much about the well-being of employees and just need work to be done)
- ICs have complained earlier about workload affecting their well-being and personal time
