Pros: Good coworkers; interesting projects; strong emphasis on impact, not just for show.

Pros: The company is on a rocket ship and is doing well. Leadership is aligned on what I believe will make the company succeed. Lots of problems to solve where I personally won't get bored for 1+ year. Good WLB in my experience for engineering where I never feel like I am being worked too hard, but have enough work to put in a good effort. No pressure from Leadership to work more or on weekends.

Cons: Lack of detail towards operations. Luckily Vanta still has a high bar towards paging, so pages are low, but low severities can be ignored or not diagnosed. Like any startup, re-orgs are common and business priorities shift frequently.

Pros: - People are generally nice and will help if you ask. - Team process is what you make it, and people are receptive to change. - Things are always improving, and problems are raised and fixed. - It is a modern software product facing interesting scaling challenges.

Cons: - Not a lot of support when first joined, little good live mentorship, and difficult to feel part of the team culture remotely - Schedule pressure is very stressful; this job takes over evenings and occasional weekends - Very high expectations and a difficult path to promotion
