Process
I posted my resume on VeriSign's online career center and got a phone interview with HR. Then I had an interview with the lead of the group that I intended to join.
They then flew to CA for an onsite interview. Four people interviewed me, all of whom were quite nice to me. I believe this is because:
- I answered all the tech questions correctly.
- The chemistry was right between them and me.

Pros: Good benefits: 401K, fitness reimbursement, lactation program, reasonable amount of paid holidays.
Cons: There aren't any really big cons to working here.
The pay isn't at the top of the market, but it is not at the bottom of the market either.

Fruit, Great People, Awful Management

Pros: Monday fruit. Some excellent contributors.
Cons: Poor management at all levels: manager, senior manager, director, VP, C-level. Too many managers with less than 5 staff. Too top-heavy, with too many levels between contributors and executives. Poor execution of strategy. Terrible accounts group, AP especially dismal, staffed by high school graduates.

Pros: Great benefits in relation to stock options.
Very interesting work due to the team I'm working for.
Have access to a lot of good data, which is good.
I cannot compare the benefits since I have not worked anywhere else, but general theory is that it's good.
Cons: It seems difficult to get promotions and salary increases.
