Verisign is a one-trick pony, content to milk its com/net monopoly for as long as it can. However, that lack of revenue diversity means they are one outage away from being destroyed as a company. Best case, they'll be a 500-person company in a few years. Get ready for big layoffs.
Senior management (director and above) are some of the worst I've seen in my career. Political hacks with virtually no tech game, causing an exodus of top-notch tech talent to competitors. Verisign senior management wouldn't recognize talent if it walked up and bit them in the nose.
One of two options:
Sell the company and return value to shareholders while it's still there; or
Merge with a stronger company to provide revenue diversity.
The first round was relatively simple, with easy LeetCode-style questions along with some resume review. The second round was a bit harder, featuring easy-medium LeetCode problems. Overall, the process wasn’t very difficult, just very long.
