I applied through the website and a hiring manager contacted me. A phone interview was set up where we discussed my skills. A second phone interview was scheduled with another hiring manager, and again we discussed my experience and skills. After the second interview, a recruiter reached out to me and said Verizon would like to make an offer. I found this to be odd, since I had not been in for an onsite interview. I should have known something was wrong at this point. After a conversation with the recruiter, he said an offer was being put together. After numerous unreturned phone calls and emails, another email arrived two weeks later saying they were changing the level of the position and an offer was coming. Another two weeks went by, and after another bunch of unanswered phone calls, I reached out to the hiring manager who asked if I was still interested. I said I was, and then another week went by with no response. I am shocked and disappointed with the unprofessional gaps in communication for a company of this size. I have never had recruiters simply disregard voicemails and emails. Moral of the story: just because they say you're getting an offer doesn't mean you actually will.
