I went into an interview with a hard interviewer. Bad luck, I guess.

No hints or feedback were given by the interviewer during the interview, nor was there any feedback afterward.

I solved the question, and the solution worked, but I didn't use the textbook solution. I was not asked for follow-ups to improve upon my solution.

This further increased the feeling that this interview wasn't going my way.

Overall: I didn't understand what the interview was actually about, except if I knew the answer to the question or not.
