I applied online. The process took 5 weeks.
I applied through the Visa careers website and completed the online assessment, which consisted of two coding questions focused primarily on dynamic programming and the two-pointer technique. The interview process itself was frustrating. My first-round interview was postponed twice, with both postponements happening just before the scheduled start time. On the third attempt, I joined the call and waited for around 15 minutes before contacting the recruiter, who informed me that the interviewer was unavailable. The interview was then rescheduled for the following day.
During the technical interview, I was given a pair-programming exercise. I solved the coding problem while explaining my approach and then answered follow-up questions on threads and concurrency. I initially answered one concurrency question incorrectly but realized my mistake and corrected it before the interview ended. Unfortunately, the interviewer seemed to be in a hurry and ended the call shortly afterward.
After following up for about a week, I received a rejection email with no feedback. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience, not because of the outcome, but because of how the interview process was handled. As working professionals, candidates invest significant time preparing, scheduling their day, and taking breaks from work to attend interviews. I believe companies should value candidates' time by avoiding last-minute cancellations whenever possible and by providing constructive feedback after multiple interview rounds.
