Work depends on the team you are in.
On one end, you might get very good work and a good tech stack, or you may get stuck in a team with no work and an old tech stack.
Breakfast, a nicely set up office, well-stocked pantries (Coke, juices, evening snacks, etc.), insurance, and health check-ups.
Some of the teams have very old stacks and hardly any work. Some teams have more directors than they have developers.
Many directors have the habit of "pleasing the boss" and not checking the feasibility of timelines.
Please try to get more technology managers/directors rather than plain people managers (with no technical skills).
There should be more transparency in the way the company operates, or what the vision or roadmap for the next 2-3 years is.
The interview process, which includes a telephonic round, an online test, a face-to-face technical discussion, and an HR interview, is too slow to respond. When a candidate is referred by an employee, the interview process should at least be swift.
The first round was telephonic and mostly covered core Java questions, which I cleared. In the face-to-face (F2F) round, the interviewer asked questions based on my resume's tech skills. However, I was ultimately rejected for not knowing core Java,
Coding round, then design round. Mostly, coding covers basic linked lists and some array data structures. Design is basically on microservice and CQRS design principles. Some questions relate to saga design patterns as well.
