Process

I applied online. During the process, I was required to pick a date for an interview, but no dates were available. Additionally, the calendar's starting day was not fixed on Sunday, but rather on the user's chosen date. It was a pretty terrible interface. I couldn't proceed if I didn't finish selecting a date. I had no idea whether I had successfully applied or not.

After a few weeks, HR emailed and asked for a phone interview. Instead of calling it an interview, it felt more like having a call with a call center. All the interviewer did was repeat and confirm questions that could have been done online. He sounded robotic and foreign. He didn't seem to know the company's hiring process. All he could say was, "Please wait for 7-10 business days." How interesting. I guess they outsource their HR.

Then, there was a phone screen interview with basic Java questions and a coding problem. They used HackerRank as the platform. It went smoothly. I was moved forward, but things then became utterly unprofessional.

The next step involved three interviews (technical with coding, technical with system design, and a behavioral interview) all scheduled within one afternoon. I was stood up by the first interviewer. I tried to reach out to the recruiter immediately, but received no response. A few days later, the recruiter called and offered a second chance. Again, three interviews were arranged for the afternoon. The first interviewer finally showed up, but the Zoom links for the second and third interviews had invalid meeting IDs.

I've lost enthusiasm for this company due to this treatment. It is far beyond my expectation that a large international retail company could be so unorganized and disrespectful.
