Pros

Management (in my experience) is very focused on employee health and well-being.

They all understand you have a life and things can be hectic.

A huge thing for me is controlling my stress levels and protecting my time with my family. I feel these were very easy goals for me to maintain here.

Cons

Tech processes are a bit out of date, and the devops pipelines can be a bit limiting at times. However, when you fit the blueprint, projects can be very quickly and cleanly spun up and maintained. Tech stacks are about average, nothing groundbreaking, but it’s all modern technology, and most of what I’ve seen has been implemented in sensible and higher-quality ways. I’m sure every line of business is a bit different.

Advice to Management

Push teams to spend more time planning.

With how many teams depend on each other, it seems like we’re always running out of time to prepare sprints and don’t always get the necessary questions resolved before having to begin feature work.
