The leaders are great and approachable, especially from the GQA space. They are transparent and timely in appreciating all your good work. The current and previous directors are making this company employee-friendly and are addressing talent needs and providing support.
I have seen only a lack of technical strength from managers, leading to communication gaps. They will always try to keep their hat safe and not recommend any kind of innovation that requires them to do extra work. The dev team can be a bit rude to Indian GQA; they might always have the upper hand.
Please validate your manager and set up more manager skip-level meetings. Make Quality everyone's responsibility, instead of it being only owned by GQA. Stop using expensive licensed tools. There is no point in having SDET4 engineers on the team and buying licensed tools. SDET4 should be capable of building tools and making testing activities less costly by efficiently building in-house tools.
Without any action of my own, a recruiter contacted me, interested in interviewing me. I talked to the recruiter and gave them my resume. They then asked me to apply via their website. I filled out their form, expecting to move on to the next phase,
It took a long time to schedule due to poor communication from the HR/recruiting teams. There was no feedback after the interview either; complete silence. They are not approving remote hiring either; a Toronto area candidate was asked if moving to O
OA, followed by 2 technical interviews. In the second interview, two DSA questions were asked. In the first interview, a DSA question, algorithms basics, and software development processes were asked.
