Software Engineer Interview Experience - Boston, Massachusetts

Process

Initially, I spoke with a friendly recruiter who moved me forward to a 60-minute technical phone interview.

The interviewer was not especially friendly and had to confirm several basic pieces of information that I had already provided and that were present on my resume.

The interview questions were not particularly difficult, but I simply underperformed on a couple of them, which led to a rejection.

One positive aspect of the technical interview is that it includes a few different components (algorithm, SQL, discussion of experience, etc.). Theoretically, if you perform poorly on one, you could make up ground on another.
