Process
I got an employee referral.
I was sent an online test, but I didn't crack it before time ran out. It wasn't a difficult algorithm question; I was just a bit nervous.

Pros: A ton of new engineers and engineers recently out of college, so you are learning together.
Nice side perks, like taking people to the movies.
Cons: If you are a more experienced engineer, expect to get pushed to become an approved code reviewer and then spend most of your time reviewing code for the less experienced engineers.
Not much opportunity to build new stuff.
The backend was getting quite dated.
The equipment provided at the time was not great beyond the MacBook Pros. The accessories and provided monitors were usually not great.
Pay is substandard.

Average Salary and Reducing Quality of Talent
Software Engineer • Current Employee
Boston, Massachusetts, United States
May 2, 2022
Pros: Good, and helping people and culture around.
Cons: Loss of quality talent. The new talent that is coming is not as good as the ones that left.
I see a lot of Indian new hires, at least in my department. As an Indian myself, I would like to work with diverse people, which makes work more interesting for me.
Engineering is very domain-heavy and not interesting for an engineer who is really interested in engineering, and the said job requires an engineer, at least in my department.
