I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks.
I'm happily employed. HR who was "impressed" by my profile and publications contacted me and, since it piqued my interest, I agreed to a phone call. I agreed to do a technical test for them while on holiday (bad idea). This amounted to 4 generic HackerRank exercises; I am 95% sure that there is no obvious solution that does not timeout for some example in the chosen language (Python) for one of them (the theoretical lower bound on complexity is what it is); the solution, if exists, must rely on some implementation detail of CPython. Got an email the following day saying that they "won't be moving forward my application" because of my "test scores". One would at the very least expect the courtesy of a 15 minute meeting to review the solutions.
TL;DR: Wayve wasted 5 hours of my time
4 HackerRank exercises about: REST, sorting, progressive backoff.
