I really enjoyed the interview process at Whatnot! It started off with a friendly HR chat about the role to see if I'd be a good fit. From there, it was a mix of interviews:

• Coding
• System design
• A chat with the hiring manager
• A principles interview

They even threw in a product sense interview, which was a very interesting and fun interview. It shows they're after engineers who get the bigger picture, which makes sense since it’s an engineering-led startup where devs are hands-on with product design.

Given their existing application, what would you change to improve the onboarding of new users?

And follow-up questions based on your answer.
