I was asked to arrange my own travel to Victoria. They insisted I take a 7 AM ferry to meet the team.

The first of six interviews was a tech test/discussion with very little interaction. Technical tests help companies hire employees who are good at writing tests, not dealing with real-world issues.

The rest of the interviews were literally read from a laminated card verbatim. It felt like a test to see if I was human or an android, like in Blade Runner. Interesting that a company writing HR software failed so miserably at actual recruitment.
