The interview process included:

• Initial phone screen
• Video with hiring manager
• 1-week project
• 3 rounds of final interviews

I conduct interviews myself in a larger corporation for the same roles and am pretty sure I gave good answers. The hiring manager, from the beginning, had an uneasiness about me. He came to the call with his mind made up about me. The only way (if any) was for me to miraculously change his point of view, which rarely happens, if ever.

If you feel like your interviewer isn't interested in you, I'd suggest just getting off the call and saving your time. Your time is too valuable to waste on companies taking it for whatever internal drama they're trying to overcome by interviewing you (be it someone already selected for the role, be it your background isn't what they're looking for but HR insisted they talk to you, etc.).
