Okay salary, great benefits (RSU, performance bonus, 27 days PTO, good breakfast selection). Can change teams after 18 months if your manager agrees.
Some managers are bullies or control freaks, and there is little you can do about it.
I was bullied in the one-on-one meetings, and there was no option to suspend them, have a third person sitting in, or record them.
As the one-on-one (in theory) was designed to help the employee, there should also be an option to suspend it if it's not serving its purpose (e.g., harassment).
Changing companies currently seems to be easier and faster than changing teams if your manager is not co-operating. (This should probably be the other way around.)
I initially applied online. HR then called me back and took my possible timings for the interview. The manager called me around that time, and it all went very well.
The interview started with a UML test, conducted over the phone and screen share. The task was to design a system using UML, with a focus on a relational database-based design. Commonly used scenarios included: * Amazon * Ryanair * Ticketmas
Received an interview after a school career fair. Was e-mailed later that night for an on-campus interview. The question is related to object-oriented design and how one can improve the UML diagram they supply you.
