Pros: This company is a really fun place to work, and it has a ton of creativity and innovation going for it.

Cons: A negative aspect to working at Yahoo is that there is way too much competition within the company and among people.

Pros: Yahoo has some great and smart people in the company. The culture is also great, and the company has a lot of perks. Since the new CEO, the company looks very promising.

Cons: Note, my comments are pre-Mayer times. I feel that it is a very self-serve model. It is your responsibility to advance your career. It is your responsibility to file a patent. Also, I feel that there is too much in-house technology. This is fine, if you provide sufficient engineer resource. Otherwise, I believe this company needs to use more open-source. Direction of the company is always changing, which is due to the many management changes. We finally found a consistent direction with the new CEO.

Pros: The company treated its employees well. They offered free food, had a good summer picnic and holiday party, and a free medical plan when I joined in 2004.

Cons: No good product, sales drops, bad management and headship, some politics, and too many layers in the management structure. The company needs to lay off employees.
