Cons: The company as a whole is not doing great.

Pros: Good salaries, good food, good benefits, onsite gym, good work-life balance, and good technologies to learn and work with. Food is free now.

Cons: A lot of people were leaving when I left. Too many changes. Be ready to work in different teams and different projects all the time; priorities change very often.

Pros: Yahoo has some great and smart people in the company. The culture is also great, and the company has a lot of perks. Since the new CEO, the company looks very promising.

Cons: Note, my comments are pre-Mayer times. I feel that it is a very self-serve model. It is your responsibility to advance your career. It is your responsibility to file a patent. Also, I feel that there is too much in-house technology. This is fine, if you provide sufficient engineer resource. Otherwise, I believe this company needs to use more open-source. Direction of the company is always changing, which is due to the many management changes. We finally found a consistent direction with the new CEO.
