Process

I applied online. A recruiter reached out and informed me that they would like to put my resume forward for review by hiring managers from different teams, who might then select my resume. A week later, I was told my resume was selected by the Yahoo Membership team and they wanted to schedule a technical phone screen.

The phone screen was straightforward. I was asked to reverse a linked list in groups of k's on CoderPad and answer a few basic JavaScript and HTML/CSS concept questions. The interview went well.

At the end of the call, the interviewer asked me to explain my approach to solving the "source to destination" or "boarding pass" problem.

The recruiter I spoke with prior to my interview was very professional. However, the interviewer seemed a bit disengaged; they showed no interest in discussing my past or current experience and did not answer any questions I asked about Yahoo.

A day later, I received an email from the recruiter stating they had some difficulty tracking down feedback but had managed to receive an answer. Unfortunately, they had decided that my profile wasn't the best fit for the team's needs.
