I did not get a 1:1 interview, but I wanted to submit an interview review because it was noteworthy. I submitted an application online.
There were questions attached to the application itself, so it was sort of a pre-screening process.
That said, I received an email from the CTO / Founder himself, letting me know that they weren't moving forward. That was a differentiator in itself.
The email was direct and to the point, but acknowledged having been on "both sides of this sort of email" and wished me luck in the process with other companies.
I will be following the company and looking at other job postings, if for that reason only.
It very well may have been an automated email, but if so, it was brilliant. That bit of personalization goes a long way and I think it speaks to the respect that the founder seems to have for not only his employees but for people wanting to join their team.
