Sr Software Dev Engineer, Region Flexibility Engineering (RFE) - Team Axon/HawkEye

The Region Flexibility Engineering (RFE) team at Amazon builds and leverages foundational infrastructure capabilities, tools, and datasets to support the rapid global expansion of Amazon's SOA infrastructure. This senior-level position is within the Axon & HawkEye team, focusing on robust and scalable architecture patterns and engineering best practices.

The role involves designing and implementing technical solutions for regional placement automation, cross-region libraries, and tooling useful for teams across Amazon. You'll be working on projects that span across all of Amazon Stores, Digital and Others (SDO) Businesses, collaborating closely with AWS teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing features within the Axon & HawkEye infrastructure
• Participating in on-call & operational activities
• Technical mentoring and developing other SDEs
• Working with highly distributed systems at scale
• Contributing to system architecture and design

The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and solve complex problems in software architecture while building highly scalable services. You'll be part of a team that enables service owners and operators with traffic telemetry, insights, and intuitive user experiences to improve availability, performance, and scaling of Amazon's distributed services ecosystem.

The compensation package includes a base salary range of $151,300 to $261,500 per year depending on location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits including medical, financial, and other benefits.
