Description For SMB Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales

Darktrace, a global leader in cyber security AI, is seeking a SMB Solutions Engineer for Pre-Sales. Founded in 2013 by mathematicians and cyber defense experts, Darktrace protects over 9,000 customers from complex threats using AI-powered solutions. The role involves working closely with Account Executives to provide technical expertise in the pre-sale process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing technical engagement for Proof of Value (POV) trials
  • Designing and communicating solution architectures
  • Presenting Threat Intelligence Reports to various audiences
  • Recommending and deploying integrations
  • Acting as a technical point of contact between clients, partners, and internal teams
  • Driving a value-selling approach
  • Assisting with forecasting and transitioning closed accounts
  • Engaging with the Channel team
  • Staying updated on all Darktrace products and software versions

Ideal candidates should have:

  • Proven technical ability through education or experience
  • Knowledge of computer networking and cybersecurity
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Enthusiasm for innovation in cybersecurity

The salary range is $80,000-$100,000 OTE. While remote, occasional presence in the Los Angeles office is preferred for team events and meetings.
