Description For Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer / L2 Support Engineer

ELEKS, a custom software development company with over 30 years of experience, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer to join their team in Europe. The role focuses on supporting a well-established US investment consulting company's infrastructure. The position requires extensive experience in Windows Server administration, with a primary focus on upgrading systems from Server 2012 to 2019/2025.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of server administration experience and deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Office 365, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting. They will be responsible for managing system upgrades, resolving escalated tickets, and maintaining service levels according to SLAs.

Responsibilities For Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer / L2 Support Engineer

  • Providing in-place upgrades of Windows Server
  • Communicating and collaborating with the team to upgrade systems
  • Ensuring service levels are maintained and tickets are tracked and resolved on time
  • Taking ownership of escalated tickets and resolving them successfully
  • Supporting spillover calls from the first-level queue
  • Handling the weekly rotation of Knowledge Base article maintenance
  • Take ownership to resolve customer requests in accordance with SLAs

Requirements For Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer / L2 Support Engineer

Linux
  • 7+ years' experience in server administration
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012 to 2019/2025 administration
  • Experience with SCCM
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products including Office 365
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and domain environments
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation
  • Experience with application compatibility testing
  • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP networking fundamentals
  • Experience with VMware, Azure and certificate management (PKI)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Upper-intermediate level of English
