As a Data Center Facility Engineer Level 2 at Oracle, you will report to the manager of Data Center Facility Engineering and be responsible for managing low risk maintenance activities for the region. Your role involves coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure power and build tickets are completed efficiently, working with local Data Center Operations teams on rack containment for cooling effectiveness, and supporting customer growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in the creation and development of scalable engineering solutions
- Reading and utilizing electrical and mechanical schematics
- Safely performing electrical switching operations
- Reviewing MOPs and SOPs for accuracy and safety
- Overseeing maintenance activities
- Ensuring adherence to Oracle change management policies
- Assisting with testing of electrical and cooling systems
- Supporting the resolution of engineering incidents
- Analyzing and validating system data and reports
- Undertaking risk assessments of supplier or partner works
- Scheduling and tracking completion of preventive and corrective work items
- Providing reports on key performance indicators
- Assisting with developing dashboards and automation for scalable solutions
- Participating in project implementation and technical improvements
The ideal candidate should have:
- An Associate's degree or higher in an electrical or mechanical discipline (preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience in operating and maintaining Data Center facilities
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Detailed understanding of building electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
