Side-project/Start-up thread!

I'll start! Crazy productivity recently.

I've been using a mixture of https://www.cursor.com/ & claude.ai in my dev process and have noticed it's a lot easier to get into flow!

Unsure about a 10x increase - but maybe for some specific use-cases like the boilerplate of how to do X or a language/framework I don't know.

• Started and made an MVP for gimmie, a scheduled AI-researched newsletter (https://github.com/dcrebbin/custom-generated-emails)
• Made an MVP for a YouTube embedded subtitle extractor (some Cantonese/Mandarin videos have embedded subtitles) as I needed a way to extract them for use in a YouTube subtitle language learning extension
• Made Googlexity, a rust API based Perplexity clone for a Google AI hackathon (https://github.com/dcrebbin/googlexity-api)
• Going on a MUCH needed side-project building holiday to Hong Kong for 2 weeks very soon!

It's not tech-related at all (is that allowed??), but I started reading A Court of Thorns and Roses, and it's really fun!

It's a 5-book romance and fantasy series. It feels like an adult, R-rated version of Harry Potter 😅
