Course related | As a mid level, does it make sense to take the senior to staff course?

I am thinking that if I also start to show the basics of a staff engineer, it might be helpful to reach a senior engineer status.

Storytime! When I received a new textbook in high school or college, I'd immediately read the index and also flip through the book to read the chapter names and headlines. Within a few minutes, you can get a really good sense of what is covered and when.
This also gives your brain a chance to start processing the information in the background 😅

Definitely, if you can start implementing staff level behaviors as soon as possible, it will make your time at senior go by more smoothly.

8 months agoTech Lead @ Robinhood, Meta, Course HeroIt wouldn't hurt, but I highly recommend going through the mid-level to senior course first: [Course] Grow From Mid-Level To Senior Engineer: L4 To L5
This way you'll understand how the behavioral evolutions build on top of one another. Also, if you're on the higher-end of mid-level, the senior to staff course will be more applicable to you.
