Template for 1:1 with Manager/Skip Level

Hi Folks,

I've been here for a couple of months now and I've been getting good value from the advice here. So thanks a ton. However, I still have a few lingering questions.

Is there a good template for a 1:1 with my manager without sounding like promotion/growth/TC hungry desperate person?
Is there a good itemized growth plan template to track my own growth that is holistic in terms of technical complexity and interpersonal skills? The idea is to periodically check-in with myself using this template so that I'm able to measure my progress since last check-in. Would it make sense to also do this check-in during my 1:1? or is that too much?

Promotion conversations are tricky, and it will vary based on the organizations. Some organizations are just super cheap and don't want to promote engineers ever, and in those cases, there is nothing you can do to prevent being labeled as a "promotion hungry" person.
