Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

I applied through a college career fair and had an on-campus interview. Then, I got an on-site interview the week after.

We spent two days at Adobe. The first day was like a mini career fair, where we could talk to the teams we were interested in. By the end of the day, we ranked the teams we were willing to interview with. That night, we received our interview schedule for the next day.

Questions

The team I interviewed with asked four simple technical questions:

  1. Finding bugs in C code (something about index out of bounds).
  2. The basic idea of constructors and destructors in C++.
  3. Given an integer array and its length, eliminate the duplicate numbers in the array.
  4. Point out the flaw of a class in C++ (poor memory management).
